Impact of COVID-19 on the practice

COVID-19 has created a huge change in how we live and are living our lives. At this time I do sincerely hope that you and your family are keeping healthy and well.

I am still seeing patients during COVID-19 at my main rooms in Bundoora. We have stopped all satellite clinics in Blackburn, Kew, and Gisborne for the time being. It is not only important to keep myself, my family, and my team healthy, but it is of vital importance to keep you and your family healthy as well. By centralising my clinic to my main rooms, we have been able to limit patient contact by spacing out the patient appointments, through the wearing of PPE, cleaning down all surfaces between patients at appointments, and using contactless payment options.

I am also providing telehealth consultations which I am bulk-billing for any patient but for my team any patient who is at high risk of COVID-19 it has been the only option. I am providing telehealth either via telephone or a number of video platforms.

Elective surgery is slowly returning but it will take a long time to return to normal levels. If you do require surgery please know that you will be placed onto my list to be done when it is safe to be done. If you need your surgery as a more urgent case, it will be done according to the criteria set out by the private hospital, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Knee Society, and the Arthroplasty Society of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Please be rest assured that we as a team and family are doing everything that we can to provide the best service at this time whilst keeping you and your family’s best interest at the forefront.

Please keep safe, keep healthy, and keep well.
