A message from the team at Melbourne Arthroplasty Sports Knee
We all hope that you are all healthy and well at this unpredictable time. Australians have done a fantastic job of reducing the curve but the cost and impact to us all due to social restrictions has been enormous. We are still OPEN FOR BUSINESS, and we are here to provide the best possible care, and to provide support not only for you but also your family. Please take care.
Open for business
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic measures, we do appreciate the frustration and anxiety that our patients will be feeling not only in having their surgery delayed or rehabilitation being affected, but also the pain and disability that is being caused to our patients knees and the consequent effect that has on their quality of life, work activities, and the limited exercise activities that can be done.
Our office remains physically open Monday to Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday Joyce and Kerry are working remotely from home. We are still contactable from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Thursday, and 9:00am to 3:00pm on Friday.
Please contact either Joyce or Kerry on (03) 9471 1268 to make an appointment.
We are committed to providing our patients effective, evidence-based practice, and timely patient centred care. We are doing all we can for our new patients, and our old patients at this time, but please understand that elective surgery is only being allowed to run at 25% capacity, and that physiotherapy services are greatly reduced due to a lack of access to gymnasiums and swimming pools, along with social restrictions put in place for outdoor exercise.
Face to Face Clinics
We are open for face to face new patient consultations, those patients who require injections, and patients who need to be reviewed whom do not have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 or have had no exposure to COVID-19. When you do call and speak with either Joyce or Kerry, they will run through a checklist of symptoms associated with COVID-19 and will make alternative arrangements as necessary.
We are using telehealth which is either a telephone all or video conferencing for any patient who is unable to attend a clinic appointment, has had exposure or symptoms of COVID-19, and those patients who are from inter-state or overseas.
At this time, we ask for your patience – as we continue to provide the best possible care in this time of uncertainty. To everyone please keep safe, keep healthy and well.
From Nigel, Joyce, Kerry, Rhi, and Dee.
